Annoyance

Why do I love the stock market?  It’s cause of events like this this:

So Timothy Geithner was in his senate hearings regarding his appointment for Security of Treasury and he gets asked a question:

Senator: Did you use software to prepare your 2000 and 2001 taxes?
Tim: I did
Senator: Which brand did you use?
Tim: I’ll answer that question sir, but I want say these are my resposibilies not the tax software responsibility.  I used Turbotax to prepare my taxes.

Instantly Intuit which makes Turbotax takes a hit. 

 

"I use Turbotax.."

Call me arrogant but how can anyone be opposed to the SCC banning naked short selling for a time being? What downside is there in stopping Naked shorts? I haven’t heard or read one logical argument for having naked shorts still in place besides ‘they do not add to speculation.’  Okay lets say that it doesn’t add to speculation, but why is that bad?

The SCC should just stop naked shorts for good.
