So I was watching 24 last night and it made me rekindle my love for Chloe O’brian.  She’s such a badass geek!  Well anywho soon afterwards I saw some podcast from Tekzilla and it hit me.. Are Veronica Bemont and Chloe O’brian sisters? hmm

Okay so you star in some movies and so you think people care?  Hmm. Just because your an ‘actor’ you can rap all of a sudden?  Really?  Well apparently..

So Timothy Geithner was in his senate hearings regarding his appointment for Security of Treasury and he gets asked a question:

Senator: Did you use software to prepare your 2000 and 2001 taxes?
Tim: I did
Senator: Which brand did you use?
Tim: I’ll answer that question sir, but I want say these are my resposibilies not the tax software responsibility.  I used Turbotax to prepare my taxes.

Instantly Intuit which makes Turbotax takes a hit.

I fully understand why gift cards were created by the retailers, but what I don’t understand is why the consumer gave into them.  

Why would a consumer think it would be such a brilliant idea of giving the recipient a gift card to a

 store in leu of cash?  Why does one feel they need to lock them into a store?  Do these people themselves like to be locked into a particular store?  Even if it is a store that you regularly visit, why do it?  I don’t understand.  

Don’t get me wrong, I’m no saint here, I’ve been guilty of doing this in the past. I just don’t understand it though.  I try to go back and think why I did it.  Was it because I felt that giving cash just wasn’t appropriate or meaningful?   Maybe that’s

 what it is, giving cash in leu of a gift lacks thought.  But isn’t cash more meaningful then all else?  Its saying oh look I care about you so much that I want to give you cash and give you the ability to buy whatev

er your heart desires.  I won’t lock you into a store or a gift that most likely you don’t wont.  

Okay maybe I’m just a little irritated because of the fact that I have $600 in gift cards to Best Buy and another $500 to Apple both with I have no intention to use in the near future.  Bah.  Thanks

Urinal..

I don’t understand how difficult it is to pee.  I really don’t understand why no matter what bathroom I enter, I have to approach the urinal with extreme caution and on my toes.  How hard can it really be to aim within the 10“ by 10” opening.  I mean seriously is it really that hard?  

I totally understand that its a public bathroom and thus people don’t care, but really?  Do these people that find it hard to not to paint the floor?  I seriously wonder what  they do at home.  God its disgusting. 

COME PEOPLE, its really not that hard.. aim then pee.!

I find it amazing how our whole political system (me included) is just fill with hypocrisy. So apparently Caroline Kennedy wants Hillary Clinton’s seat as the senator in the US. I promised myself of not saying anything about Hilary and I’ll stick to that.

Well anywho, yesterday I’m listening to the radio and I’m saying to myself, ‘wait is this a joke?’ Does she really feel like its just that she gets this position and that she’s qualified for the position? What credentials does Caroline Kennedy? The Kennedy name? WOW. Then I hear a cousin of Caroline say how she’s qualified because ‘she’s a mother and a woman and she’ll bring something new and humble.’ Hmm sound familiar? Maybe like I don’t know .. lets a Sarah Palin? Hmm. A woman, a mother, a former mayor, a governor with an unheard of 65% approval rating. Hmm.. No but she was far too unqualified for the vice president! But wait what Obama is just has experience as a senator, wait what? I’m so lost.

I’m not going into the election, but you have to be kidding me if you think its fair and just that Caroline Kennedy gets the senate seat. With all the crap in Illinios it makes you think, is it really right that the governor simply chooses someone with no vote or approval from the house?
